BESISAHAR, Lamjung, Feb 25: Approximately 30 million rupees has been collected at the Srimadbhagawat Saptah Gyan Mahayagya organised at the Janakalyan Secondary School here.
The Mahayagya, the religious offerings ceremony, was organised to collect funds for starting technical and vocational education programme at the school in the near future. The Mahayagya was organised from February 18 to 24.
The amount includes both the offerings made in cash and kind at the Mahayagya, said Krishna Prasad Adhikari, the School Management Committee president.
A 23 ropanis land plot was also donated to the school on the occasion. The Mahayagya collected Rs 2.39 million in cash alone.
