EC to publish PR seats for HoR

The Election Commission has prepared to announce the number of seats secured by the political parties in the election of House of Representatives under Proportional Representation (PR) system on Thursday. According to the EC, It will send the letter to the political parties to submit the allocated women names today. EC spokesperson Nawaraj Dhakal said, “We send the letter to the political parties for submitting the names of candidates including women compulsorily.

Certificates distributed to Province-1 NA members

Newly elected members of the National Assembly (upper house) from Province-1 have received the certificates. Chief Election officer Raj Kumar Khatiwada and Morang CDO Ram Prasad Acharya jointly handed over the certificates to the members amid a function here Thursday.

Health Insurance Program in Mahottari

Health Insurance program has been introduced in Mahottari today. The government through Bardibas municipality has initiated the program in the district under the slogan 'Your Health Our Determination." South Korean president to meet North Korean leader’s sister

South Korea’s president plans to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un’s sister and other senior North Korean officials when they visit the South this week for the Winter Olympics, his spokesman said Thursday. Kim Yo Jong, believed to be around 30, would be the first member of North Korea’s ruling family to visit the South since the 1950-53 Korean War.
