NMA draws govt's attention to implement four-point agreement

KATHMANDU, Feb 2: The Nepal Medical Association (NMA) has drawn the attention of the government to implement the four-point agreement reached with it earlier. 

The agreement reached on September 29, 2017 between the NMA and the government in the presence of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba had put forth various demands including to amend the Health Worker and Security Act 2066 and its Regulations 2069, and increase facilities and pays of doctors. 

In a statement issued Thursday evening, General Secretary of the NMA Dr Lochan Karki also voiced his concerns about the indifferent attitude of the government to implement the agreement. 

The NMA also warned of a stern step in case of failure for executing the agreement at the earliest. RSS
