KATHMANDU, Jan 31: Shivam New Diamond Academy (NDA) has started the second round of the 13th Red Bull Dhorpatan UM Women’s Double League Volleyball Tournament on Tuesday with two wins on the same day. The second round of the league saw NDA defeating the departmental team Nepal Police Club (NPC) and Meghauli Sports Foundation. 

At the Dhorpatan Club’s sports ground at New Bus Park, NDA defeated NPC 25-18, 19-25, 25-22, 25-12, while it beat Meghauli in a straight set of 25-7, 25-9, 25-9. 

In the other match played on the same day, the other departmental team APF defeated Meghauli as well. APF saw off Meghauli 25-8, 25-18, 25-3 in straight sets, while the third departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) Shree Gaun Sports Club 25-19, 25-11, 25-9. Likewise, TOPS Higher Secondary School overcame TAC 25-15, 25-15, 25-19. 

After the start of the second round of matches, NDA has 37 points from 13 matches and is at the top of the standings. Unbeaten APF has accumulated 32 points from 11 matches. NPC stands at the third position and TOPS at the fourth, with 27 points from 12 matches each.
