This August, stores have introduced a wide collection of studded jewelries among which the collection in green seems to be the major attraction. [break]
Asri Jewelers, a store that deals with gold, diamond and studded ornaments in one of the stores in the town that has recently introduced green gem collection in the market, targeting the upcoming Teej festival as well as the Shrawn month in which women adorn themselves with green ornaments.
"Designer stone-studded ornaments have been introduced ahead of the Teej festival. We want to tap the craze for precious stones and therefore we are focusing on stones such as diamond, emerald, ruby and sapphire as the consumer´s attraction towards them is rising significantly," said Manish L Pradhan, director of Asri Jewelers.
"Green gem or emerald is associated with passionate love and bond of trust and is of high religious importance and also matches highly with the Nepali tradition and attire," said Pardhan adding the green gem has been able to grab the attention of many customers.
The new collection includes a finger ring, ear pieces, pendent and necklace which are all made up of emerald, gold and diamond.
"The fact that the demand of gold is increasing with the growing population cannot be denied. However, slowly and steadily studded jewelries are changing people´ choice," said Pardhan.
The store has earned high popularity because of its tradition of introducing thematic and seasonal jewelries. Previously, it has introduced ruby-studded ornaments during marriage seasons.
