KATHMANDU: Wheelchair Cricket Association Nepal (WCAN) is all set to organize the 1st International Wheelchair Cricket tri-series from Thursday. The Twenty20 format tournament, which will be at the TU Cricket Ground, will feature two teams from host Nepal and one each from India and Bangladesh.
The participating teams will play one-one match against each other, and the top two teams will advance to the final. Speaking at a press meet organized in the capital on Tuesday, WCAN’s President Chhultim Gyalgen Sherpa said that the event is being organized to motivate the physically disabled people involve in sport. On the same occasion, he also thanked Sushil Koirala Memorial Foundation for helping his organization to host the tournament.
