KATHMANDU, Nov 18: The leader of Nepali Congress Ramesh Kumar Mahat has accused that the opposition party for inciting violence due to fears of defeat in upcoming House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections. He stated that continuing attacks targeting election candidates was against constitutional laws and order and created fear among voters.
Mahat, Nepali Congress candidate from Nuwakot-1 (B) said security personnel should be responsible to ensure safety so that people can vote freely during election.
Speaking with Radio Nagarik, Mahat opined that people had an emotional attachment towards Nepali Congress. He said, 'Congress is always devoted to address the public problem and want to make peace in the nation. So, public has distinct attachment with Congress.'
