Two held on charge of cow slaughter

GORKHA, July 31: Police in Gorkha has arrested two people on the charge of slaughtering a cow. The arrested are Bhagwan Kami, 25, and Som Bahadur Nepali, 17, of Kepung from Kharibot VDC-2. They were detained Friday along with cow meat, the police said.


Meanwhile, Sita Thapa, 23, of Aabukhaireni-8, Tanahu was nabbed by the police on the charge of property theft. She stole cash and gold ornaments from a house of Kamal Kumal from Gorkha Municipality-14. Police confiscated cash of Rs 6,000 and gold ornaments weighing two tolas, it is said. RSS
