KHOTANG, Aug 4: Three students, who have been on an educational tour, have drowned in Gokyo Lake in Solukhumbu district.
Those drowned in the lake are ninth graders of Khumjung Secondary School Pemba Dorje Sherpa, 17, Pemba Nuru Sherpa, 16 and Sunil Barailee, 16, of Pasang Lhamu rural municipality-5, according to police.
The Gokyo Lake is situated at the altitude of 5, 000 meters.
A total of 32 students, two teachers and one office assistant were on the educational tour.
