BAJHANG, May 3: Three people were feared kill in a jeep accident at Jayaprithvi Nagar Municipality-7, seven kilometers west of district headquarters Chainpur.

A police team under the command of DSP Rishi Ram Kandel has been deployed in the accident site. The ill-fated jeep was swept away 50 meters down the road and buried under murky water.

“The exact number of casualties and passengers are not known yet. The rescue is underway to retrieve the victims by using two excavators,” police constable of District Police Office, Bajhang, Kalyan Giri told Republica Online.

The accident took place at around 8:30 pm yesterday.

The accident took place when a jeep, Se 1 Ja 820, heading to Jhota carrying passengers from Chainpur, was swept away by swollen Chauthe rivulet on Wednesday night.
