BAGLUNG, Sept 6: In what we call a blatant negligence on the infrastructure development, the blacktop applied along the three kilometer-road has come off immediately after one and a half months in the district.

Baglung-Kushmisera road section had been blacktopped at the cost of 30 million by the second week of July.

The locals have become worried after seeing the road connecting Kaligandaki corridor, Galuwa Damlyang, Paiyupata Pagja come off soon after it was blacktopped.

Local Govinda Acharya said the government budget has gone down the drain as the large amount of budget was spent on the road construction.

Even though the agreement was signed with the contractor in the fiscal year 2072/073 BS, it was constructed only in the fiscal year 20732/074 BS.

According to Dil Bahadur Pariyar, a driver, the road was damaged due to heavy monsoon rains.

Chandra Kishor Majhi, Sub Engineer of Road Division Office, Baglung, said that he has already directed the concerned body to repair the road.
