BHOJPUR, July 13: Three persons belonging to the same family were killed on Saturday as the house they were living in was swept away by the landslide caused by the continuous downpour in Bhojpur district.

The incident took place at Ramprasad Rai rural municipality – 5 of Bhojpur district.

Man Kumari Rai, 40, and her two sons Shiva Kumar Rai, 17, and  Shakti Kumar Rai,15  died on the spot, ward member Jagat Chauhan said. The incident occurred on Saturday morning at 7 pm.

According to District Police Office in Bhojpur, the team of police personnel has been deployed to probe the incident.     

 The death toll caused by the landslides occurred over the past few days has reached 5.
