RASUWA, Feb 10: Three children have been killed in a fire that broke out in a house at Sisneri in Naukunda Rural Municipality-5. The house belonging to Bir Bahadur Moktan had caught fire at 3:15 pm today. 

The kids have been identified as six-year-old Ashmita Moktan, Ripola Moktan, 7, Mangali Maya Moktan, 3. Ashmita is the daughter of Dhan Bahadur while Ripola and Mangali Maya are the daughters of Bir Bahadur.

Both the houses of these siblings had been built conjointly. 

According to police, the fire started after the children burnt poster which subsequently spread to Bir Bahadur’s house.

Police with the help of locals brought the fire under control in a half hour.

The incident took place when their parents were away.

The deceased have been taken to Trishuli Hospital for postmortem, said DSP Santa Kumar Thapa Chhetri.
