Ram Bilash Yadav, a teacher at the school, said Tek Bhahadur is a management student while Sunita is studying education. “I´m not embarrassed. Rather I am really enjoying taking exams with my daughter,” Tej Bahadur stated.
Tek Bahadur, who is currently working in the accounts section of his school, had incidentally stopped appearing for School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exams 20 years after flunking for six consecutive years. He again appeared for SLC three years ago upon his daughter´s insistence and passed the exams in second division. “My daughter persuaded me to pursue higher education,” said Tek Bahadur who was given the school job long before he had passed SLC.
He then enrolled at the school along with his daughter. “I have chosen management to further my accounting career,” he added. He said he hopes of promotion after passing the higher secondary level.
He said success in grade 11 inspired him to continue studies.
Daughter Sunita prided herself in getting to study in the same class with her father. “My dad has inspired me to give continuity to my studies,” she added. Sunita hopes to become a teacher after completing her studies.
