NC manifesto incorporates challenges posed by Left Alliance

KATHMANDU, Oct 27: Nepali Congress (NC) has geared up for the parliamentary and provincial assembly elections by incorporating the forthcoming challenges posed by the Left Alliance in the political spectrum of Nepal in its manifesto.
The member of NC manifesto drafting committee Dr Narayan Khadka stated that the Congress is set to include the effects of CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist Centre led left alliance for the stability of democracy and possible hurdles it may create in the implementation of the constitution.
In a conversation with Radio Nagarik Dr Khadka said, 'We have included the necessary general curiosities in our manifesto on why one should vote for Nepali Congress along with other democratic alliances as well as what types of risk left alliance can cause in the coming days.'
Dr Khadka informed that the manifesto also includes works done by Nepali Congress, the efforts made for uplifting the marginalized groups, the commission established at the initiative taken by NC.
Dr Khadka added that the development of inclusive and proportional society has been included in the manifesto which will be released after the submission of all the candidates.
The manifesto of Nepali Congress also includes the possible acceptance from all the concerned democratic alliance parties. Dr Khadka stated, 'It is necessary to consolidate with the alliance parties.A certain co-ordination and mininmum understanding is necessary between the parties.
Dr Khadka clarified that the government and NC have no intention to postpone the upcoming elections as blamed by the left alliance. ‘NC does not want to jeopardize the vote count by postponing the elections,’ Dr Khadka claimed. ‘The left alliance press meet on Thursday was not necessary. At the worst case, if the elections are postponed, it will not be possible to reinstate the parliament as claimed by the left alliance,’ he added.
