‘Art ensemble’ by Lalit Kala Students

A group of 19 students from Lalit Kalla Campus in collaboration with a few other organizers have organized an art exhibition called ‘Art Ensemble’ at Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal.

According to organizers, the five-day event is showcasing different types of artworks, including portraits, printmaking, video art, installation, creative painting, among others by the students of the campus. The exhibit has a total 63 paintings on display. 

Promod Kumar Tandukar, one of the artists featured in the exhibition, has worked on the theme of peace and pleasure that reflects cultural as well as geographical diversification of Nepal. He has portrayed the cultural diversification with the use of shrines like Pashupatinath temple and Swayambhunath stupa. Similarly, he has pained mountains and hills in his artwork to show the country’s geographical diversification. 

Promod Kumar Tandukar has worked on the theme of peace and pleasure that reflects cultural as well as geographical diversification of Nepal.

Similarly, Bhufan Limbu, another artist, has created two horned rhinoceros with a gun targeted toward it, which indicates wild life smuggling that is rife across the globe. Meanwhile, Om Prakash Gurung has worked on theme ‘innocent face’. He has used oil ink to create 14 different emotions of a child in his painting. 

The exhibition covers a wide range of themes and works as a platform to encourage emerging artists. The event will continue till 
October 19.
