29 injured as two buses collide with each other in Tanahu

DAMAULI, Nov 17: As many as 29 passengers were injured when two buses collided head-on with each other at Nayapul Gorechautara of Bandipur Rural Municipality in Tanahu district. The accident took place along the Prithvi Highway on Sunday afternoon.

DAMAULI, Nov 17: As many as 29 passengers were injured when two buses collided head-on with each other at Nayapul Gorechautara of Bandipur Rural Municipality in Tanahu district. The accident took place along the Prithvi Highway on Sunday afternoon.


Among the injured, two are in critical condition, according to the District Police Office, Tanahu.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ashok Thapa of the District Police Office said that the incident took place when a bus with registration number GAA 0070 collided head-on with another bus with registration number Bhe 1 Kha 3487.


The passengers trapped in the collided buses have been rescued with the help of a dozer. Those injured are receiving treatment at Laxmi Hospital in Dumre, the police added.  RSS
