27-year-old pilot also dead

KATHMANDU, Feb 28: Pravakar KC, 27, was the pilot of the Airbus AS350 helicopter of Air Dynasty Heli Services that met with an accident in Taplejung district on Wednesday afternoon.

KC left Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu with six passengers on board, including Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari, on Wednesday morning. 

The team was heading to inspect a proposed site for airport construction in Chuhan Danda of Terhathum.

Born in 1992, KC has been flying helicopter for last five years. He was with Air Dynasty for the past three years. Colleagues remember KC for his helpful and cheerful manner. 

He is survived by his father, mother, and a brother who is currently in Dubai.

Bad weather is believed to have caused the accident.
