NAGARKOT, September 3: Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Ambika Basnet, has said the provincial and central elections are necessary for the Constitution's implementation to take its course.
Inaugurating the Fifth Annual General Assembly (AGM) of Radheshyam Jonche Academy here in Bhaktapur, Minister Basnet the stressed on need for effort from all quarters to make the two elections a success.
Basnet took the occasion to appeal to the Nepali Congress cadres to move forward by correcting the weakness seen in the past and secure the party's victory in the provincial and central elections.
The Minister also pledged to take an initiative in declaring Radheshyam Jonche a martyr. On the occasion, lawmaker Manmohan Bhattarai termed Congress party as the only guardian of democracy in the country, and called for cementing the internal conflicts to move forward.
At the programme presided over by Radheshyam Jonche Academy's Chairperson, Rajani Jonche, NC Bhaktapur District President, Durlav Thapa, shed light on Jonche's contributions. RSS
