KATHMANDU, Aug 13: People have started rescue and relief initiatives at individual level as the country faces crisis because of floods and landslides. Districts in Tarai Madhes are submerged because of the floods caused by heavy rainfall while people on hilly districts are displaced by the landslides.

As the death toll is rising and thousands of people are displaced, people in various parts of the country have started collecting donations and relief materials and offering some help for rescue. We found some individual initiatives and initiatives from different groups in the social media.
