The coronavirus disease spreads at community level
KAPILVASTU, Aug 6: The community level transmission of COVID-19 is feared in Kapilvastu after 25 fresh cases were detected on Thursday morning.
Of the new cases confirmed today, 24 people are from Taulihawa and one is from Maya Devi Rural Municipality.
The infected people are bankers, employees of INGOs, health workers, teachers, pharmacists and people’s representatives, according to the District Health Office. Some 13 bankers, three health workers, three employees of an INGO, two teachers, one people’s representative and three others tested positive for COVID-19.
With this, the COVID-19 tally in Kapilvastu has reached 840 as of Thursday of which 747 have already recovered and returned home.
