NC and Maoist Center clinch mayoral and deputy mayoral posts respectively in Sandhikharka Municipality

ARGHAKHANCHI, July 3: Nepali Congress and CPN(Maoist Center) have clinched mayoral and deputy mayoral posts respectively in Samdhikharka Municipality in Arghkhanchi district.

NC mayoral candidate Kamal Prasad Bhusal has been elected as the mayor. Bhusal obtained 8230 votes , compared to 7127 votes obtained by his nearest rival CPN-UML mayoral candidate Krishna Prasad Shrestha.

Likewise, Maoist Center deputy mayoral candidate Thakur Kumar BK has emerged victorious in the race for the deputy mayor. BK obtained 7365 votes while his nearest rival CPN-UML deputy mayoral candidate Ishwora Pokharel got 6404 votes.
