23 held for gambling from private home in Dhulikhel

KAVRE, Nov 25: The Kavrepalanchowk District Police Office, Dhulikhel has arrested 23 people on the charge of gambling.

Acting on a special tip-off, the group was caught red-handed in the wee hours today from a private home at Dhulikhel municipality-9.

The police squad headed by District Police Chief Superintendent of Police Jay Raj Sapkota arrested them with cash of Rs 957,870 and a set of Kaudas (sea shells). Arrestees have already undergone medical test and are presently in police custody.

Police said that they have launched an investigation against the arrested
