KATHMANDU, June 22: An Indian national was killed while two others sustained serious injuries after a speeding microbus ploughed into them at Bouddha area in the capital on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Rup Lal Sah of Shreepur, India while injured are Pradip Kumar Sah from the same place in India and Chini Maya Budhathoki from Okhaldhunga.
Pradip has been discharged following treatment at Jorpati Medical College while pedestrian Chini Maya is still receiving treatment at Shankarapur Hospital, Area Police Office, Bouddha told Republica Online.
Over-speed and break failure are the causes behind the accident, police said.
Deceased Rup Lal and Pradip were running fruit shops at Jorpati area.
Police said they are investigating the case after taking the microbus and its driver Lal Bahaur Kami under control.
