The hospital remained tense after the relatives of a woman, who died on Tuesday night in course of treatment, vandalized the hospital following her death. Usha Basnet, 38, wife of Ram Krishna Basnet, of Dolakha Bhimeshwor Municipality-5, currently living at Gatthaghar, died on Tuesday night in course of treatment.

The relatives of Usha blamed that she, who visited the hospital after suffering from minor chest pain, died due to wrong medicine given by the doctors. The doctors had given the medicine of gastric to her.

Ram Krishna said, "We were just roaming around Gatthaghar in the evening. We visited the hospital for check up after Usha suffered from minor chest pain. But she died due to negligence of doctors."
However, the hospital has claimed that Usha died of cardiac arrest. Hospital Director Suresh Shrestha said, "Usha suffered from heart attack in course of treatment. A seven-member team including cardiologist involved in her treatment for an hour, but could not save her."
He said that they were ready to face any action if it was proved that the patient died due to negligence of the hospital. RSS
