RASUWA, April 7: A group of 21 Nepali citizens have left for Tibetan Autonomous Region of China to scale the Mt. Everest from the Chinese side.
Immigration Office in Rasuwa facilitated those Nepali citizens who left for the TAR via Rasuwagadhi border point on Saturday. According to immigration officer Bishnu Gharti, the climbers started to get permission to scale the world's highest peak through this route since last year.
"More groups are coming to scale the Mt. Everest through this route in coming days," he said.
Local tourism entrepreneur Ganesh Lama said "Those who used to leave for Tibet via Tatopani to scale the Mt. Everest in previous years have now started to come via Rasuwagadhi border point for the same."
According to Lama, the climbers can reach the Everest Base Camp in two days from Rasuwagadhi.
