DAILEKH, June 26: Twenty-one Covid-19 patients who were staying at the Naumule Rural Municipality-based quarantine facilities escaped on Thursday night.
A team of police personnel from Naumule Ilaka Police Office has been mobilized to bring the escaped patients back.
According to chairman of Naumule Rural Municipality, Badre Buda Magar, it has been learnt that they fled the quarantine facilities complaining of lack of retesting during their 12 day stay after testing positive for Covid-19.
Ninety-four patients of Covid-19 including two females and 92 males are staying at the same quarantine facility.
“A few of the escaped patients were brought back yesterday night and some are being brought back today,” said Chairman Magar.
