HUMLA, May 14: Cadres of Netra Bikram Chand led CPN has tried to disrupt voting in a polling station of Humla district.

A small group of cadres of the CPN reached the polling station at the Kharku Nath Rural Municipality Ward 5 and tried to cast votes despite they were not registered voters in the village. As cadres from other parties tried to stop them, another group of CPN cadres threw stones at the polling station from a nearby hill. At least three people sustained injuries as stones hit on their body parts.

Though the CPN itself has not participated in the election process, its cadres in Humla have filed independent candidacies in some villages of the district.

The clash has stopped and the security forces are trying to control the situation. Local administration has mobilized additional force to the polling station and the additional force is on the way to the polling station.
