2,508 people diagnosed with COVID-19 in Nepal on Saturday

National COVID-19 death toll hits 937 as active case tally reaches 38,584

KATHMANDU, Oct 31: As many as 2,508 people were diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) across the country in the past 24 hours.

According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), out of the 9,279 people who went through PCR tests in the last 24 hours, the results of 2,508 came positive.

With this, the national COVID-19 case tally has reached 170,743.

Similarly, 2,264 people who had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 recovered in the past 24 hours, taking the country’s COVID-19 recovery tally to 131,222. The current COVID-19 recovery rate of Nepal stands at 76.9 percent.

The health ministry also confirmed 17 new cases of fatality linked with COVID-19 across the country in the past one day. So far, as many as 937 individuals have succumbed to COVID-19 in Nepal.
