Schools swept away

RUKUM, July 16: Landslides that struck Jhula-5 of the district swept away two school buildings.



On Friday morning, the building of Balsewa Lower Secondary School was swept by a landslide. The two-room building was built a month ago by the World Food Program with the help of Nepal Red Cross Society under the Food for Work Program.



Two other buildings belonging to the school are at risk, according to Hari Prasad Sharma, a teacher.



Similarly, landslide swept away a building of Bhanubhakta Secondary School in the same VDC early Friday morning.



Both the schools are out of operation after the disaster.
