Stage set for announcement of Naya Shakti Nepal

KATHMANDU, June 11: The Baburam Bhattarai-led Naya Shakti Nepal is formally announcing the party on Sunday.

Spokesperson Khim Lal Devkota said that representatives from 24 countries and all 75 districts of the country will attend the ceremony. The party said that major political parties and envoys of 25 countries have also been invited.  
 

According to him, representatives have started coming Kathmandu to attend the political gala.

Rallies will begin from Kupondole, Babarmahal, Kalimati and Ratnapark and enter Dashrath Stadium before 12 noon tomorrow. 

Coordinator of the Management Committee, Balawati Sharma told Republica Online that some 1,500 representatives that wil attend the jamboree will be served biryani, a dish made with highly seasoned rice and meat, fish or vegetables.

The announcement ceremony will be held at the stadium on Sunday and closed session at the Kamaladi-based Nepal Academy on Monday and Tuesday.

Who are invited?

Chairman of (CPN Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba have been invited for the announcement ceremony. 

Spokesperson Devkota said that representatives of diplomatic missions have also been invited. 

Indian leaders will also attend the function. 

D.P. Tripathi, General Secretary of the Nationalist Congress Party of India, KC Tyagi, Chief General Secretary of Janata Dal (United) and Sudhindra Bhadoria of Bahujan Samaj Party will attend the function. 

Invitations were also sent to Bihar’s Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Chairman of Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal, they will not arrive.

New trend in publicity 

Naya Shakti Nepal has shown a new trend in publicity. 

Political parties used to paste posters and writes slogans on walls before General Convention. But, the party opted for the use of mediums of mass communication. The party published advertisements in newspapers and broadcasted TVCs. Social media platforms too have been extensively used.
