They have filed complaints at the WCSCSC of the District Police Office hoping to get justice claiming that they are victimized by women.

Earlier, men rarely came to the police station to file a complaint. Therefore, it was not prevalent to keep records for such cases. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Hari Bahadur Oli said that when men come to file a complaint like women, they call the accused women for discussion.

DSP Oli said “We are sending them  by saying new problems will arise  as time and circumstances change. When discussing these issues with both parties, we address these issues after finding problems''

He said that many of the problems faced by men who have been affected by violence have been resolved.

DSP Oli said that there are many complaints of men concerning issues related such as not returning home after going to parental home, arguing with them when they go to pick them up and the misappropriation of money sent from abroad for work.

Especially, men filed a complaint stating that they are being denied food  and physical abuse. Similarly, men alleged that their wives are not living at home, neglecting household works, torturing them, living luxurious lives and demanding expensive clothing and jewelry.

According to the WCSCSC, Kapilvastu, 24 out of 347 complaints of domestic violence in the last fiscal year have been sent to the court.
