KATHMANDU, April 15: Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said that all parties have equal responsibility of making the elections a success.
Speaking in a greetings exchange programme organised by the Community Service Centre, Maharajgunj on the occasion of the New Year 2074 BS here today, he said since the country belonged to all it is the responsibility of all the parties to conduct the election.
"Unity among the parties is needed for implementing the constitution effectively and to holding the election, and the political parties should set aside their differences and work together for protecting the achievements made so far," leader Singh asserted.
He also urged the government not to be nervous in this regard and work steadfastly to organizing the election.
Leader Singh said the responsibility of implementing the constitution has fallen on the shoulders of the Nepali Congress and urged the party leadership to be responsible towards that end.
Inspector General of Police Prakash Aryal reiterated that Nepal Police was steadfastly working on crime control and maintaining the law and order. He added that Nepal Police was capable of providing the required security for the election. RSS
