
Former No 1 Shrestha registered a card of one-over 73 for a total of six-over 292 to win the tournament by four strokes over the overnight leader Rajan Thapa, who settled for a final round score of six-over 78. The title is the first in almost 13 months for the RNGC pro. He went without a trophy in the whole of the 2009-10 season after winning the CMS Open in March 2009. [break]
Surya Sharma finished third at 301 after a final round score of 76, while current No 1 Rabi Khadka finished fourth after a round of three-over 75 for a total of 302. Deepak Thapa Magar came fifth at 305.
In Amateur section, Ramesh Adhikari stood first with a score of 305, while Bishnu Sharma was far behind at 328 points in the second position. Samundra Giri came third at 329.
Winner Shrestha bagged Rs 60,000 with the win while Rajan Thapa received Rs 40,000 and Sharma pocketed Rs 30,000.
