QATAR, April 4: Tila Bahadur Khatri has been elected as the chairman of the Khotang Service Society Qatar, an organization of migrant workers from the district.

The recently concluded general assembly of the organization unanimously elected Khatri as the chairman. Likewise, the general assembly elected Ekraj Rai and Rudra Prasad Acharya as vice-chairmen while Kailash Shrestha is elected general secretary.

Parshuram Shresth and, Narayan Khadka are secretaries in the new executive committee while Narayan Khadka is elected as the treasurer. The general assembly elected a 21-member executive committee.

According to KSS Qatar Vice-Chairman Acharya, the organization has been raising funds to support an ambulance to the district and has raised NRs 1.87 million so far.
