KATHMANDU, March 26: The Kalanki-Koteswor road expansion project has failed to achieve its goal of completing the expansion within the predetermined time period.
This project financially and technically supported by Chinese government was supposed to be completed by May 15, 2016. However, only half of the total project activities have been completed thus far.
Nepal government had received NRs 5 billion (worth 312 million yuan) from Chinese government for this project.
The project aims at expanding the Kalanki-Koteswor road by transforming its original size (four- lane road) into a wider size (8- lane road).
