17 persons trapped on bank of Bagmati river, NA requested to airlift them out of danger

RAUTAHAT, July 12: As many as 17 persons have been trapped on the bank of Bagmati river situated between Rautahat and Sarlahi after flood inundated the area surrounding the river.

RAUTAHAT, July 12: As many as 17 persons have been trapped on the bank of Bagmati river situated between Rautahat and Sarlahi after flood inundated the area surrounding the river.


They were surrounded by flood triggered by incessant rain as they were grazing their animals.

They are shouting for help from the top of the trees.


Likewise, a woman who has been identified as Dulari Devi, 40, has gone missing from the flood-hit area.


According to Kiran Thapa, chief officer at District Administration Office(DAO) in Rautahat district, DAO has sent a letter to Nepal Army urging it to rescue the flood victims by airlifting them out of danger.


There are 200 households in the flood-hit area. They have been inundated by flood.
