KATHMANDU, Aug 17: The 16th Annual Handicraft Trade Fair is going to be held in November. The Federation of Handicraft Associations of Nepal (FHAN) is organizing the event on November 14 to 18 at Bhrikuti Mandap Exhibition Hall in Kathmandu. Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu on Thursday, the organizers said that handicraft manufacturers, exporters and dealers from Nepal along with Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, China and Bhutan, among other countries, will participate in the fair to be organized jointly by the FHAN and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies. Speaking at the program, Dharma Raj Shakya, president of FHAN, said that the fair will have 250 stalls. The organizers are expecting 300,000 footfalls. Shakya also added that handicraft products handicrafts, gift items, decorative articles, potteries and jewelry will be showcased at the expo. The fair will also have ethnic food stalls, cultural shows and craft competitions as well as live demonstration by artists, according to the organizer.
