4 killed, 20 injured in Morang bus mishap

KATHMANDU, March 23: Four passengers died and twenty more were  injured in a bus accident that occurred on Wednesday night at Bayarban-9 of Morang district.

The mishap took place after the bus under the Muktinath Travels Pvt. Ltd with the number Na 5 Kha 5387 heading to Butwal from Kakarvitta went out of control after it rammed the motor cycle with the number Me 4 Pa 8511, which was coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased have been identified as Devendra Limbu, aged 16, a local of Letang-3 , Tilak Limbu, aged 20 of the same area, Prusotam Subedi, aged 79, a local of Butwal and Tika Subedi, aged 68 of the same area.

Of the passengers who sustained injuries, one is female. 16 of them are undergoing treatment at Birat Nursing Home and Nuero Hospital located in Biratnanagr and Pathri Hospital located in the nearby hospital.

Four passengers who sustained serious injuries were rushed to Siliguri of Indian for treatment immediately.

The injured have been identified as Babita BK , a local of Suryodaya, Illam, Rosan Mandal , a local of Korabari , Jhapa, Satan Imbu, Sunita Tudu, Satuwa Tudu, Satuwa Haimran, Santosh Majhi,  locals of Gauriganj , Jhapa, Kishor Chaudhari, Lil Bahadur Bhattarai, Manish Bhattarai, Anish BK, locals  of Bhadrapur , Jhapa, Karanjit Barma, residents of Ghailaduba, Jhapa, Mitrawati Bhattarai, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai,  locals of Sikkim,  Raj Ale, a local of Butwal, Bijay Murmu, a local of Keraun, Morang, Anil Rana Magar, a local of Pokhara, Ishar Ali , a local of Uttar Pradesh, India and Ram Kumar Rai , a local of Pathri, Morang.
