Development Committee concerns over mobilization of resources

KATHMANDU, March 21: The Development Committee under the Legislature-Parliament has shown its concern over the proper implementation of the newly restructured local level.

The meeting held on Tuesday, discussed the issue with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Federal Affairs and Local Development Kamal Thapa and other officials from the Ministry and issued the directorial order to mobilize and to manage the resources in the newly restructured local level keeping view with the upcoming local level election, slated for May 14.

Likewise, the committee also urged the Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development to make descriptive studies regarding the need of the human resources in the local level immediately and manage it accordingly.

Similarly, the committee asked the Ministry for General Administration to mobilize the human resource for the local level election. It has requested the Election Commission to solve out the obstacles in mobilizing the human resources due to the code of conduct.

The meeting also drew attention of the government over the problem in disbursement of the budget after the implementation of the newly restructured local level.
