KATHMANDU, 17: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Ayodhee Prasad Yadav on Friday urged Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal to create conducive environment for the upcoming local polls.
In a meeting with Prime Minister Dahal, CEC Yadav asked him to create election friendly environment by bringing all the agitating political forces on board the election process and arranging security condition across the country.
In a response, Dahal said that the government is all prepared for the local polls and assured Yadav of arranging security condition.
“We are all prepared for the local polls. The security arrangement is in place. Please, go ahead with your plan,” the prime minister told Yadav.
During a half-an-hour-long meeting, Yadav apprised the prime minister of the preparation for the local polls made so far.
According to Yadav, the EC is printing ballot papers from tomorrow.
The local election has been scheduled for May 14.
