15th ANC Congress concludes

KATHMANDU, Sept 22: Network for Quality, Productivity and Competitiveness Nepal (NQPCN), a non-profit organization, hosted the 15th Asian Network for Quality (ANQ) Congress from Wednesday to Friday at Soltee Crown Plaza, Kathmandu. 

With the theme “Quality Culture for Sustainable Prosperity”, the annual international conference on quality became a common platform for creating value through quality. The Congress focused on sharing novel ideas and experiences on crucial quality culture as well as issues and recent trends on the theme. 

Around 150 papers on various thematic areas, including change and risk management, leadership, team development and quality culture, environment and safety management, improvement of public service quality, occupational safety and health were presented during the event, according to the press statement released by the NQPCN. 

Similarly, the areas on technology and business excellence models, service excellence and customer satisfaction, standardization, metrology and accreditation system were also extensively discussed in different parallel multi-sessions by various esteemed international and national presenters. 

Dr Noriaki Kano, professor Tokyo University, Leon Tossaint, European Foundation for Quality Management, Janak Mehata, chairman of International Academy for Quality, Prof Sung Hyun Park, president of Social Responsibility and Management Quality Institute, South Korea, Prof Dinesh P Chapagain, founder president of NQPCN, Nepal and Prof Azat Abdrakhmanov, president of Asian Network for Quality, among others presented their papers at the Congress. 
Around 300 participants from more than fifteen countries including Japan, China, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, South Korea, and Russia participated in the Congress, as per the press statement.
