Border encroachment in Parsa

By No Author
BIRGUNJ, April 3: A monitoring team has found that the Indian side has encroached upon Nepali territory in the remote Thori VDC of Parsa.

The encroachment came to the light after a study tour carried out by a team led by Assistant CDO Ram Bilas Yadav on Saturday.

Two border pillars at the Sansarika hills were also found missing, Yadav said. Pillar No 84 and 85 were not found, he said. Local Maoist leader Ram Prakash Kunwar said 20 hectares of land have been encroached upon by India.

The Indian side has expedited the encroachment of the important tourist area as it is very far from headquarters Birgunj.
