KATHMANDU, Feb 20: Rebuild Nepal, a Germany-based organization established by non-residential Nepalis has been supporting the quake victims, especially children, of Nepal by rebuilding school blocks.

The organization was established after the devastating earthquake of 2015 by Santosh Ojha (a Nepali staying in Germany) along with his German friends. Since then, they have been conducting various programs and collecting money from the people on the streets, trains and the concerts.

Whatever amount they raise is basically utilized for rebuilding school buildings. Besides that, they have also been distributing scholarship amounts on a monthly basis and also conducting health camps and supporting libraries.

Recently, the organization rebuilt three class rooms in Barahi Primary School, Khanayokhark-4 of Thakre, Dhading. The program was inaugurated by lawmaker Rajendra Prasad Pandey.

“We want to rebuild our country by doing whatever we can. We believe that even little effort counts,” said Ojha. The massive earthquake had destroyed about 5,373 classrooms of 587 schools in Dhading. The members of this organization repeatedly visit the district to provide help in rebuilding these schools. “The happiness reflected in the eyes of the victims keeps motivating us in this field,” said Ojha.
