NIBL awards Janaki Devi Bom

KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Army Chief Rajendra Chettri and Nepal Investment Bank Ltd CEO Jyoti Prakash Pandey has jointly awarded Janaki Devi Bom with ‘The Best Entrepreneur Award’.

Issuing a statement, the bank said that Bom has been awarded with Silver Coin and Certificate of Appreciation in the Nepalese ex-Army Summit held by Nepalese Army Welfare Board (NAWB) in Dhangadi on Thursday and Friday.

According to the bank, Bom has been awarded for inspiring others by borrowing microfinance loan from the bank for poultry business.

The bank, together with Nepalese Army Welfare Board (NAWB), has been extending microfinance credits with an aim to upgrade the living standard and create self-employment opportunities for the retired and in-service Nepalese Army staffers, according to the statement.
