Indian officials order to dismantle roads, drainage constructed along no man's land

GAUSHALA, Feb 2: Indian officials have directed the authorities concerned to dismantle concrete roads and drainage constructed recently by the Indian side along the no man's land between Matihani in Nepal's Mahottari and India's Madhubani area.

Madhubani DM Girwar Dayal Singh issued the order in this regard at a special meeting of authorities of both Nepal and India with the theme on 'India Nepal Border Verification and Repair Workshop' at 48 'B' brigade of Seema Surakshya Bal (SSB), Indian border security force, at Jayanagar in Madhubani. 

At the event, Madhubani Superintendent of Police Dipak Barnabal and Superintendent of Police of SSB Ajit Singh Rathor also stressed the need for the authorities of both India and Nepal to inspect and repair border pillars and control land encroachment on the no man's land. 

From the Nepali side, Chief District Officer of Mahottari, Birendra Yadav, Superintendent of Police of Armed Police Force, Prakash Shrestha and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shaligram Sharma were also present in the meeting. RSS
