KATHMANDU, April 18: After the approach and area control frequency of the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) was down earlier today, the airport management had halted all flights to and from the airport. However, flights to and from the airport have resumed now by reducing the frequency capacity.
After the frequency was down, there was a problem in the arrival and departure of planes at the airport from around 1 PM.
General Manager of TIA, Pratap Babu Tiwari, claimed that there was a problem with the movement and departure only for about half an hour following the frequency problem.
He informed Republica, “There was a problem for about half an hour. Now it has been completely resolved.” According to Tiwari, work has been done by reducing the capacity of the frequency.
