KATHMANDU, March 26: Nepali Congress (NC) Vice President Purna Bahadur Khadka has apologized after CPN-UML Whip Mahesh Bartaula raised objections in parliament.
Referring to Rule 20 (6) of the Rules of the House of Representatives, MP Bartaula said that the said provision is being violated and it is being done against dignity. "No member is allowed to walk between the Speaker's seat and the member who is speaking," said Bartaula.
After Bartaula drew attention, Speaker Devraj Ghimire instructed the House to pay proper attention. After that, Nepali Congress MP Khadka stood up and tried to speak.
After Khadka was given time to speak, he said, "I violated that section of the rules unknowingly. I apologize for that.”
