KATHMANDU, March 24: The population of Nepal has reached 29.16 million.
According to the data released by the National Statistics Office (NSO) on Friday, the country's population reached 29,164,578 in November, 2022.
In the report, 14,253,551 or (48.98 percent) are male and 14,911,027 or (51.02 percent) are female. The number of other genders is 2,928.
In Nepal, the population of women is about 650,000 more than men. This time around 21 percent of the population lives in Bagmati and Madhesh provinces. Karnali province has the lowest population.
Similarly, Bhaktapur has seen the highest population growth while Ramechhap has seen the lowest population growth.
