SURKHET, Jan 30: Police have arrested a woman with the contraband drug brown sugar. A joint team of Karnali Province Police Office, Narcotics Control Bureau and District Police Office Surkhet arrested Malati Baigar from Gandaki tole of Birendranagar-3 along with 440 milligrams of the narcotic drug and cash.

According to Suraj Karki, information officer of the District Police Office, Surkhet, 28-year-old Baigar, who came to her maternal house, was arrested with narcotic drugs and Rs 84,100 and two mobile phones. "Based on the information that narcotics were being traded in Hira Baigar's house on Gandaki Line of Birendranagar-3, a joint team from the Province Police, Narcotics Control Bureau and District Police Office seized 440 milligrams of narcotic drugs along with cash and mobile phones," said spokesperson Karki, “We are investigating after taking Baigar under control.”
